Homecoming is a longstanding tradition at Fort Valley State University. The weeklong celebration is a time when alums return to their home-away-from-home to reconnect with former classmates and see how the campus has changed. It is also a chance for FVSU students to take a small break from their rigorous courses to socialize and enjoy themselves. The week of activities culminates in the ultimate football showdown when the FVSU Wildcats battle the Concordia College Hornets at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in Wildcats Stadium. The annual parade will precede the game at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in downtown Fort Valley. FVSU President Dr. Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith will be this year’s marshal.
